Julie and Debra are different in so many ways and alike in so many others. Debra struggles from the fear of inheriting her mother’s mental illness and Julie struggles to keep her family together, even though her children are growing and leaving for college soon and her husband is an unpredictable hothead. Although they are years apart in age and backgrounds, they become wonderful friends that are able to share the mysterious details of their lives, which include a stalker, a ghost and many other obstacles. It’s an unusual story with many twists and turns that keep you reading until late at night.
There are a few editing concerns that drag the story down a bit, but that doesn’t distract from the thrilling nature that makes this a fast-moving novel.
